About WB Police Wireless Operator Recruitment :
West Bengal Police has recently announce about the Recruitment of 1251 Posts of Wireless Operator. Many Candidates Filled their Online Application form For these Posts. The Process of Submitting Online Application form was Started from 22.02.2021 & will be Conducted till 22.03.2021 (5 P.M.). Candidates Can Check there recruitment details from the Below Provided Link.

Preliminary Examination
Exam Pattern :
Exam Pattern for the Written Exam is as Follows:-
- Applicants provisionally considered eligible will have to appear in an MCQ based preliminary examination which is qualifying in nature.
- There would be 100 objective type questions having multiple choice (four choices) of answers carrying equal marks each.
- The duration of this examination will be 1:30 hours (one hour thirty minutes).
- Question paper will be set in two languages (Bengali & Nepali).
- There will be NEGATIVE marking of 1/4th Marks for each incorrect answer.
- Questions of the Preliminary Examination shall be from the following subjects :-

Exam Syllabus for Examination is given below :-
Physics:
- Mechanics : 1D Motion, 2D Motion, Relative Motion, Uniform Circular Motion, Newton’s 3 Laws, Kinetic Energy, Potential Energy, Conservation of Mechanical Energy, Conservation of Total Energy, Impulse, Momentum and Angular Momentum, Simple Harmonic Motion, Pendulums.
- Oscillations and Waves : Periodic motion – period, frequency, displacement as a function of time. Periodic functions. Simple harmonic motion (S.H.M) and its equation; phase; oscillations of a spring-restoring force and force constant; energy in S.H.M.- kinetic and potential energies; simple pendulum-derivation of expression for its time period; free, forced and damped oscillations (qualitative ideas only), resonance.
Wave motion. Longitudinal and transverse waves, speed of wave motion. Displacement relation for a progressive wave. Principle of superposition of waves, reflection of waves, standing waves in strings and organ pipes, fundamental mode and harmonics, Beats, Doppler effect. - Current Electricity : Electric current, flow of electric charges in a metallic conductor, Ohm’s law, electrical resistance, V-I characteristics (linear and non-linear) electrical energy and power, electrical resistivity and conductivity.
- Electromagnetic induction : Kirchoffs’ laws and simple applications. Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents.
- Electromagnetic waves : Electromagnetic waves and their characteristics (qualitative ideas only). Transverse nature of electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic spectrum (radio waves, microwaves, infrared visible, ultraviolet, Xrays, gamma rays) including elementary facts about their uses.
- Computer Application:
- Basic knowledge in Computer
- Operating Computer using GUI based Operating System
- Understanding Word Processing
- Using Spread Sheet
- Communication using the Internet
- Presentation using Power Point.
Mathematics:
- Algebra : Irrational numbers, Arithmetic Progression, Quadratic Equations, Logarithm, Laws of Indices.
- Trigonometry : Associated angles, Compound angles, Multiple Angles.
- Co-ordinate Geometry : Equations of straight lines, equations of Circles.
- Calculus : Limit, Differentiation, Integration.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Final Written Exam
Exam Pattern :
Exam Pattern for the Final Written Exam is as Follows:-
Candidates qualified in Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will have to appear in the Final Competitive Examination which will be taken in 2 (two) parts as follows:-
- Part – I :- Physics and Mathematics (10+2 level) [Full Marks – 70] :-
This part will be an OMR based MCQ type examination of 1 (one) hour duration having 70 (seventy) MCQ type questions carrying equal mark each. Question will be set in English only.
Note :- There will be NEGATIVE marking for each incorrect answer. ¼th of the allotted marks for a particular question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Part – II :- Language Test (Full Marks – 15) :-
A translation sheet will be provided to translate a passage from English to Bengali/ Nepali as the case may be. Duration of this part is 30 (thirty) minutes.
The Written Examination for these 2 (two) parts of the Final Competitive Examination will be one continuous examination to be held at selected centres to be decided by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board shall have the discretion to fix qualifying marks in the Final Competitive Examination for shortlisting candidates for the next stage.

Wheatstone bridge, metre bridge. Potentiometer – principle and its applications to measure potential difference and for comparing emf of two cells; measurement of internal resistance of a cell
- Electromagnetic induction and Alternating Currents: Faraday’s laws, induced emf and current; Lenz’s Law, peak and rms value of alternating current/voltage; reactance and impedance; LC oscillations (qualitative treatment only), LCR series circuit, resonance; power in AC circuits, wattless current.
- Electromagnetic waves : Electromagnetic waves and their characteristics (qualitative ideas only). Transverse nature of electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic spectrum (radio waves, microwaves, infrared visible, ultraviolet, Xrays, gamma rays) including elementary facts about their uses.
- Electronic Devices : Energy bands in solids, conductors, insulators and semiconductors; semiconductor diode – I-V characteristics in forward and reverse bias, diode as a rectifier; I-V characteristics of LED, photodiode, solar cell and Zener diode; Zener diode as a voltage regulator. Junction transistor, transistor action, characteristics of a transistor; transistor as an amplifier (common emitter configuration) and oscillator. Logic gates (OR, AND, NOT, NAND and NOR). Transistors as a switch.
- Communication Systems: Propagation of electromagnetic waves in the atmosphere, sky and space wave propagation. Need for modulation. Production and detection of an amplitude- modulated waves.

- Basic knowledge in Computer

Personality Test
- A limited number of candidates fulfilling all the eligibility criteria for the post will be called for a personality test on the basis of merit, based on the result of the Final Competitive Examination.
- These tests will be for 15 (fifteen) marks. The Personality Test Board shall assess the Bengali/Nepali speaking ability of the candidate, as also a minimum technical knowledge, required for the job.
- To pass, a minimum of 4 (four) marks has to be secured by the candidate.
- The final merit list of the provisionally selected candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in the Final Competitive Examination and the marks obtained in the Personality Test.
